Brookgreen Gardens to Host Annual Spring Wine Festival Fundraiser
The third annual Spring Wine Festival presented by the Friends of Brookgreen Gardens, a service organization of Brookgreen members acting as ambassadors and fundraisers, is returning on Saturday, May 13th from 1 pm to 4 pm. This food and wine event will give guests the opportunity to enjoy wine tastings and live music under Brookgreen’s historic live oaks, all while contributing to the “Campaign for the Next Generation,” a $20 million capital campaign to expand Brookgreen’s offerings for the future.
“The Spring Wine Festival has become a beloved event for guests to enjoy wine tastings in the beauty of Brookgreen’s sculpture garden,” said Page Kiniry, President and CEO of Brookgreen Gardens. “We are thrilled to have the Wine Festival back for its third year. Guests can support Brookgreen’s capital campaign by enjoying wine and food pairings, live music and the beauty of Brookgreen.”
Launched publicly in April 2022, the “Campaign for the Next Generation” is Brookgreen’s first capital campaign in 25 years and will fund renovations and construction of new facilities as well as support endowments. The campaign will expand Brookgreen in four key areas – a new contemporary conservatory, new art facilities, expanded Lowcountry history exhibits, and a new exhibit in the Lowcountry Zoo.
