Governor Roy Cooper to be Keynote Speaker for South Carolina Democratic Party Annual Blue Palmetto Dinner
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Honorable Jennifer Granholm will not be able to attend tonight’s Blue Palmetto Dinner and Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina will be speaking in her place.
“We are thrilled that Governor Roy Cooper of our sister-state North Carolina will be joining us this evening as South Carolina Democrats from across the state gather for our annual Blue Palmetto dinner,” said South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Trav Robertson Jr. “Governor Cooper knows what it takes to win and deliver for his constituents in the South – expanding Medicaid, protecting access to abortion, and lowering costs for working families. He will surely serve as an energizer for our party as we gear up for 2024! We wish the Honorable Jennifer Granholm a speedy recovery and look forward to hosting her in South Carolina soon.”
