The Bank, Hilton Head’s Beer Garden, Opening Next Month
Moon King Entertainment Group is pleased to announce that The Bank, 59 Pope Ave., will open to the public on June 6th at 11 am. The 72,000 square-foot brewery, beer garden and restaurant complex includes indoor and outdoor seating, Side Hustle Brewing Company craft brews on tap, outdoor activities including a family zone and live entertainment, a merchandise shop, four new dining options: Mo’ Money Tacos, Bank Heist Burgers, All About the Benjamins Seafood, and Dollar Billy’s Ice Cream & Treats food trucks in addition to Pizza Co.’s second location.
This highly anticipated project began in Fall of 2021 as a reimagining of entertainment experiences in the Lowcountry, merging nature, culture, history, cuisine, games, and live entertainment. Inside, guests will find a myriad of dining options, flavors, and craft spirits all under one roof complete with bespoke design features by Martha’s Vineyard Interior Design.
Within the beer garden, guests will be equally charmed among the vast tree canopies as they listen to live entertainment, play games, or simply enjoy the view. Outdoor guests will be able to enjoy a variety of food and beverage experiences – including the newly created Armored Bar serving craft and domestic beer, spirits, and wine.
“In addition to opening this venue, I am proud that we can offer our full-time, hourly Bank employees a benefits package that includes a $250 monthly stipend to help alleviate cost of living hardships encountered by living on, or commuting to, the island.” said Billy Watterson, CEO of Watterson Brands. “This initiative is a direct response to a common issue faced by those seeking gainful employment in the area. The Bank leadership not only recognizes this but wants to meaningfully contribute to our employees to alleviate housing, transportation, and childcare burdens.”
The Bank, along with Moon King Entertainment Group and the Watterson Family Foundation, is creating a new fund to focus on Hilton Head Island housing, childcare and preservation initiatives. Specifically, a portion of every transaction completed at The Bank will go into the Island Legacy Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry.
The addition of The Bank to Hilton Head Island’s south end will also bring new opportunities for community and personal transportation. The Breeze, Hilton Head Island’s Public Trolly stop #10 is conveniently located right at the front of the beer garden off Pope Ave. The Bank will also provide more than 100 bike parking spots in addition to over 100 automobile parking spots for visitors.
