Local Merchants Join Charleston Symphony League Spring Tour of Homes
Nine downtown merchants will welcome participants in the Spring Tour of Homes to the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League (CSOL® ) on Saturday, May 20th. A portion of sales made to Tour attendees will be donated to the CSOL. The 2023 CSOL Spring Tour of Homes will include sites in the French Quarter and Charlestowne (South of Broad). Attendees are encouraged to stop off in the participating shops to browse fashion, home furnishings, bath and body, and jewelry items.
This year’s tour includes architectural gems which reflect Charleston’s mercantile, cultural, and spiritual history, some never before shown on house tours. As is the custom for CSOL tours, there will be music at tour sites, provided by student musicians, some of whom are winners of CSOL scholarships. While photos of tour site interiors are not permitted, there will be an opportunity for selfies with a historical music notable.
Docents at the tour locations will guide and inform guests, who will begin the tour by picking up wristbands at LePrince Galleries on King Street. There they will be able to view the Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid SUV featured in this year’s car raffle (The winner can opt to apply the Escape value to the purchase of any Palmetto Ford vehicle). Second and third prizes will also be awarded, including a Big Green Egg and a $1,000 American Express gift card.
Ticket prices are $65 advance and $70 day of the tour. $150 Friends tickets are also available. Purchase of a Friends Ticket includes 2 Tour tickets and a donation for CSOL Music Scholarships.
