The Carlos Dunlap Foundation, founded by Super Bowl Champion Carlos Dunlap II, today announced a series of events for the organization’s “Carlos Cares Weekend.” This year’s series will feature several activities including a teen business boot camp, a sneaker gala, a football and cheer clinic for youth, and a clothing giveaway.

The weekend’s events will kick off on Friday, June 9th with the 3rd Annual One & Dun Business Bootcamp, which offers teens in grades 8 – 12, the opportunity to sharpen their business skills and network with like-minded individuals. At the end of the boot camp students will compete in a Shark Tank-type competition, with a chance to win cash prizes.

This first night will end with the Art + Sole Sneaker Gala, hosted by Raphael James at the North Charleston Coliseum’s Montague Terrace. This family-friendly event is open to all ages.

On Saturday (June 10th) at Fort Dorchester High School, youth will have the opportunity to learn at football and cheer camps led by Carlos Dunlap II, Robert Quinn, and other professional athletes. This clinic is designed to teach young athletes the fundamentals and techniques of the sports, while also promoting health and wellness.

“My community has given me so much, and I believe it’s my responsibility to give back to the community that has supported me throughout my journey,” Dunlap said. “Hosting Carlos Cares Weekend is my way of showing my gratitude and using my platform to make a positive impact right here in the community I came from. Having my friends join me for this weekend makes it even more special. We’re very proud of what we’re doing with the Foundation and we hope that the community will join us in making a positive impact.”

The weekend will wrap up on Sunday, June 11th with a clothing giveaway, where attendees will receive FREE children’s clothing at the Citadel Mall. This giveaway has been very popular in the past and registration tends to fill quickly.

All proceeds from the weekend’s events will go to support the Carlos Dunlap Foundation. For more information about Carlos Cares Weekend and to register for events, visit: https://bit.ly/414bPZm
