HEART Announces A Mysterious New Musical Premiere at the Music Hall
HEART Inclusive Arts Community, the inclusive performing arts group based in downtown Charleston, opens an all new musical mystery at the Charleston Music Hall.
Gumshoes: A Whodunnit? follows a group of mystery fiction fanatics gathered for an annual “Detectives Convention.” Their festivities are interrupted when a crime is committed right under their noses. But, that’s when it really becomes a party. Wild theories and musical numbers (even a celebrity cameo) come to life as these wannabe sleuths puzzle out the question “Whodunnit”?
HEART is a nonprofit, multidisciplinary arts studio for adults with disabilities. Formed in 2014, HEART has made a space where diverse individuals with disabilities can grow as artists. Together, HEART creates visual arts, music, performance events and theater productions that reflect the participants’ inner lives, lived experiences, and views of the world around them. Each year, HEART creates an all new original musical written, produced, directed, and performed by its member artists, known as “HEARTists.”
Gumshoes: A Whodunnit? is set to premiere at the Charleston Music Hall on June 25th, 2023. Doors open at 6 pm, show starts at 7 pm. Go to www.heartsc.org/gumshoes for more information.
