Optional Solid Waste Curbside Collection in Unincorporated Charleston County

On Tuesday, May 23rd, Charleston County Council passed the third reading of an ordinance to select Trident Waste & Recycling, LLC as the exclusive vendor to handle solid waste operations in the unincorporated areas of Charleston County and the Town of Ravenel.
The new rate will be $50.85 per quarter for curbside garbage and yard waste pick-up. Curbside recycling pick-up is available for an additional $105 per quarter for those who choose to separate recyclables. Solid waste curbside pick-up is optional. Both trash and recycling can be disposed of at Charleston County convenience centers by individual residents at no charge. Convenience Center Locations can be found at https://chascogis.maps.arcgis.
The contract with current vendor Republic Services will expire on June 30. Trident Waste & Recycling, LLC will take over services on July 1. There may be changes service days. Please call Trident Waste & Recycling, LLC at 843-576-5050 to sign up for service, confirm your service day, update your billing information for continued service, and/or check your address for service availability.
