Savannah Chef Joins The Establishment for “Give Back Charleston” Fundraiser Dinner

Downtown restaurant The Establishment will welcome Chef Brandon Carter of Savannah’s Common Thread Restaurant for their next “Give Back Charleston” collaboration dinner event. On Monday, June 5th, Chef Carter and The Establishment’s own Chef Elliott Howells will prepare a 5-course dining experience benefitting the Rootstock Community Foundation, an organization that offers services to address the mental healthcare of restaurant employees nationwide. 

Here is the expected menu:

  • First Course
    • Raw Local Catch – benne tahini leche, shellfish reduction, corn (fresh and dried), red onion, green garlic toum
  • Second Course
      • Carolina Gold Rice Porridge – crab, spring onion, egg yolk, potato tempura crunch
  • Third Course
    • Oxtail – sea island red pea falafel, scallop, summer squash, salsa verde, aromatic chicken jus
  • Fourth Course
    • Hand Pie – blueberry filling, rosemary, caramel, creme fraiche ice cream
