Local Chef Launching New Supper Series Celebrating Local Artists
Chef Graham Calabria (of Calabria’s Fine Foods) announced a new dinner series called “Calabriations” a.k.a. the Starving Artist Supper Club. Chef Calabria says the aim is to highlight local visual artists in a during a dinner-and-a-show-styled event.
He said the menus for each event will be inspired by the featured artist, their nostalgic food favorites from childhood, the way they stylistically place color or lack thereof, and their overall motif. At each event, the venue will feature displayed artwork from the artist, and patrons will have the opportunity to purchase the pieces afterwards. The first supper, which is scheduled for June 10th, will include Chef Calabria working with local artist Justin Morris (@FollyHood), whose photographs feature the sea and our interactions with it.
The first four events will be held at Union Station in downtown:
- June 10th, Justin Morris (@FollyHood)
- July 1st, Nathan McClements (@NeMcClements)
- July 10th, Maggie Mazza (@Maggels_)
- July 24th, Lauren Ridenour (@LaurenRidenour_Art)
Upcoming artists with dates and locations TBD:
- Patch Whisky (@PatchWhisky)
- Will Harvey (@Revilo_Stuff)
Tickets will be available on Resy via Chef Calabria’s Instagram page soon.
