Reggae Nights Concert Series Continues June 23rd

Grab your dancing shoes and feel-good vibes, and come on out to James Island County Park on June 23rd for Charleston County Parks’ second concert in the Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series! Ras Bonghi and the Reggae All-Stars will perform beginning at 8 pm and the gates will open 30 minutes prior.
The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series features traditional reggae music with a modern twist. Ras Bonghi and the Reggae All-Stars were founded in 1978 in Columbus, OH and have members from all over the globe. The band features Caribbean, African and American roots and have opened for a variety of musicians including The Wailers, Phil Collins, Yellow Man and Steel Pulse.
Event gates will open at 7:30 pm with music beginning at 8 pm and the concert finishing at 11 pm. The gates will close at 10:30 pm. Tickets are available online for advance purchase at $10 per person, or day-of at the gate or online for $15 per person. Children 12 and under as well as Gold Pass holders have free entry and do not require a ticket.
A variety of food vendors such as Southern Roots BBQ, Delights Dessert and Coffee, Papa Johns Pizza will have food available for purchase, and craft vendors such as Pineapple Paw Prints, Irie Innovations and Body Décor Geechee Beads will be on site as well. Alcohol will also be available for purchase with a valid ID.
Those attending are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. It is also important to remember that dogs are allowed but must always remain leashed. No outside coolers or alcohol are permitted.
The event will take place rain or shine unless severe weather forces cancellation.
There will be two additional summer concerts on July 14th with Mystic Vibrations and August 4th with Amani Smith and the Give Thanks Band.
