The Charleston Place to Embrace Summer with All-American Décor and Local Wellness Programming
The Charleston Place is embracing a “Summer of Self-Care” this July and August with immersive programming that will encourage guests and locals alike to make the most of summer in the city. Off the heels of a grand opening celebration of the much-anticipated International African American Museum in June, The Charleston Place will kick off its summer programming with a multi-day patriotic Celebration in the Circle, along with a series of Summer of Self-Care activities from July 1st through Labor Day.
Starting on July 1st, The Charleston Place will transform to evoke an All-American summer theme through a partnership with Schumacher Hospitality, a world-renowned American fabric, trim, and wallcoverings company. Utilizing classic blue and white patterns along with all-American elements such as rattan, boxwood topiaries, palm trees, and hydrangeas, the hotel will embody classic coastal Americana. From June 29th to July 4th, the hotel will be adorned from head-to-toe with patriotic flags, bunting, and new for this year, a nightly light show on the hotel’s exterior façade. On July 4th, The Charleston Place will host an Independence Day celebration for the whole family, complete with barbecue, ice cream sandwiches, sparklers, live music, and light show.
Also starting on July 1st, The Charleston Place’s Summer of Self-Care will feature standing activities including Friday morning poolside yoga; Saturday morning sweat sessions with ACE, a new local dance-based fitness experience that challenges the body and mind; a stunning pop-up (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) wine experience with Wolffer Estate; and book butler program in partnership with Charleston-based Buxton Books.
