rūmbo advertising agency wins Telly Award for local ProLift video spot

rūmbo, a local Charleston and Tampa, FL advertising agency, announced their recent Telly Award win for their “Take It From Agnes” ProLift Garage Doors online commercial within the Online Commercials General-Product and Services category.
The Telly Awards is the world’s largest honor for video and television across all screens and had a record-breaking number of entries in its 44th year. Winners include some of the most prominent global brands and companies alongside smaller and independent production houses, including Netflix, Disney Parks, Paramount, National Geographic Society, and dynastic NBA team the Golden State Warriors.
The Telly Awards’ 44th annual edition – “Break through the static” – boasted nearly 13,000 entries from across the globe, the most in a decade, with submissions flowing in from the US, Middle East, UK and Canada, as well as strong entries from Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and as widespread as Afghanistan, Sweden, New Zealand, Jamaica, and South Africa.
“I knew Travis and his ProLift team were a good fit to partner with when we met on the board of the Mount Pleasant Chamber and then I saw him dressed as The Conductor from the Polar Express at the Christmas Parade passing out hot cocoa packets with ProLift flyers, never once breaking character. It showed dedication to community, creativity and a great work ethic, exactly what the traits we at rūmbo work on every day,” shares Mike Compton, President of rūmbo.
The spot, which was selected and featured on Ads of The World earlier this year, celebrates the friendship of two neighbors, or rather, the bond between two animated garage doors delivering the commercial’s message. They discuss makeovers, facelifts, and new springs—all the benefits of a new garage door installation. Agnes, the commercial’s protagonist, explains how she loves her new look and how we all can use a lift.
The online video has gained popularity and love by ProLift who’s locations span across the US and are looking to potentially expand the concept for other state franchises. “When I was working with the rūmbo team, I was pretty blown away by the level of creativity they had when discussing options for my company. Now, I have an extremely memorable and versatile way to help people remember my brand, and it’s obvious that it resonated with an even larger audience than expected,” shared Travis Nicolette, Owner, ProLift Garage Doors of Charleston.
