Judge Stephanie Ganaway-Pasley Launches North Charleston Mayoral Campaign
“I’m running for Mayor because our city needs a leader that will finally put the people first. I’ve been living here for 40 years, and Liberty Hill still looks the same,” Judge Ganaway-Pasley continued, “In one of the wealthiest cities in South Carolina, too many families are living in poverty, living in fear of crime and over-policing, and facing fierce gentrification.”
Judge Ganaway-Pasley’s campaign will emphasize her commitment to North Charleston’s families by boosting everyone’s prosperity, not just the privileged few, and fighting for changes that will remove the barriers to a better quality of life that build bridges to a brighter future. As the only candidate with a Ph.D. in Psychology coupled with her experience on the bench in North Charleston, Judge Ganaway-Pasley’s campaign is geared up to release extensive plans on how her administration will address the pervasive issues of mental health regarding citizens and policing.
Judge Stephanie Ganaway-Pasley is also the only candidate with a strong union background as a former Teamsters Business Agent, advocating tirelessly for the rights and well-being of workers. Her understanding of the challenges faced by working-class families will be integral to her efforts to create an inclusive economy that works for everyone in North Charleston. At the core of Judge Stephanie Ganaway-Pasley’s campaign is her vision for a North Charleston that thrives on progress, unity, and opportunity for all.
Judge Ganaway-Pasley ran for Charleston County Probate Judge in 2018 and again in 2022; although she was unsuccessful in both races, she won the vast majority of votes in the City of North Charleston each time — giving her a strong base of support out the gate. “The people know me. I am not entering the race as another candidate seeking a title; I here as the game changer for the people,” Judge Ganaway-Pasley concluded.
