Libertas Academy in Boiling Springs Hires Stacy Reel as Principal

Boiling Springs, SC – Libertas Academy is excited to announce the hiring of Stacy Reel (above) as the founding principal at Libertas Academy in Boiling Springs. The School Director, Celina Patton, will focus on the overall operations of the school, while Mrs. Reel will focus on supporting the school’s goals of academic excellence.
Reel brings a decade of hands-on teaching experience, as well as eight years of administrative and leadership experience in K-12 schools in both North and South Carolina. Most recently, Reel served as a Special Services Administrator for Spartanburg District 2 in Boiling Springs.

I am excited to work alongside the phenomenal staff and with the Boiling Springs community to give our students the very best education and overall school experience,” said Stacy Reel. “We are committed to lead through high-quality, rigorous, and relevant instruction. Libertas Academy will be the first ever, tuition-free, public charter school in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. Libertas Academy will open in temporary units for the 2023-24 school year serving grades K-6, and will add one grade each year, eventually serving grades K-8. The permanent facility is scheduled for completion in 2024. This $32 million dollar investment in Boiling Springs will create dozens of jobs, while providing the students of the greater Spartanburg area with a first class, safe, and positive learning environment they deserve.
