Rita’s Seaside Grille Welcomes New General Manager

Hall Management Group has welcomed restaurant industry veteran Phillip Marshall (above) to the Hall Management Group family as the new General Manager of Rita’s Seaside Grille on Folly Beach. With 15 years of hospitality experience, most recently serving as the General Manager of Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille in Birmingham, Alabama, Marshall has hit the ground running.

“Rita’s is a special place and I am honored to serve our guests in this new role,” said Phillip Marshall, General Manager of Rita’s Seaside Grille. “The summer is one of our busiest times and I look forward to building memorable guest experiences, supporting the unique Folly Beach culture, and fostering a family atmosphere among our Rita’s team.”

Marshall, a Maryland native, discovered his passion for hospitality at a young age. He began his career in the restaurant industry bussing tables before becoming a bartender and server at various restaurants across the country. Marshall moved into restaurant operations, stepping into various management roles at other prime steakhouses, and eventually taking over as General Manager at Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Baltimore, Maryland.

“Phillip’s experience in the hospitality industry is exemplary, he is a great fit to lead our Rita’s team,” said Tommy Hall, Proprietor of Hall Management Group. “Phillip will bring a fresh perspective, passion and vision to Rita’s, enhancing an already amazing guest experience. We are grateful to have him join our tight knit family of restaurants.”

Marshall takes over as Rita’s General Manager this month. The position was previously held by Chuck Isenberg, who is now serving as General Manager of Halls Chophouse Nexton in Summerville.
