U.S. Energy Secretary Granholm to Visit Columbia During “People Powered: Summer Road Trip”
On Tuesday, June 27th, U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm will travel to Columbia as part of the Department of Energy’s “People Powered: Summer Road Trip, brought to you by President Biden’s Investing in America Agenda.”
While in Columbia, the Secretary will visit a facility that is building Made-in-America electric vehicle chargers.
Throughout the “People Powered: Summer Road Trip, brought to you by President Biden’s Investing in America Agenda” Secretary Granholm will travel in an electric vehicle across four states — North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee — for a series of events and town halls highlighting the Biden-Harris Administration’s new and existing efforts to build a clean energy economy, create clean energy jobs, and cut costs for all Americans.
The tour is part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s broader three-week Investing in America tour, where President Biden, Vice President Harris, and leaders across the Administration will highlight investments and projects growing the economy from the bottom up and middle out, made possible by the President’s economic agenda.
