CJCC to Host Free Bilingual Community Event with Housing Information and Resources/ Información y recursos de vivienda

The Charleston County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) will host a Community Justice Forum at the Keith Summey Public Library on Tuesday, July 11th from 5:45 pm to 7 pm. During the forum, titled “Housing Information and Resources/ Información y recursos de vivienda,” panelists will share information about how to connect with wrap-around support programs, home rental programs, home ownership programs for those earning less than $110K, and financial literacy programs.

The panelists are:

Craig Logan, Housing Executive Fellow, Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce
Latosha Jenkins-Fludd, Director, The Hope Center
Christopher Welch, CJCC Community Representative, will serve as moderator

This event includes live English-to-Spanish interpretation by Maricela Villalobos. Interested community members should reserve their spot here. This event is free and open to the public.

“Data shows us the connectivity between housing challenges and jail us,” said Dr. Ashleigh Wojslawowicz, CJCC Research Manager. “Understanding the context behind the data, real people facing real situations, gives us a better understanding of how we can make a difference.”
