Dancing on the Cooper Returns on July 22nd with the Castillo Cuban Jazz Trio

Get ready to dance the night away on the Mount Pleasant Pier during the fourth installment of Charleston County Parks’ popular Dancing on the Cooper. The next dance takes place on July 22nd at the Mount Pleasant Pier from 7 pm to 10:30 pm.

The Gino Castillo Cuban Jazz Trio will perform traditional Cuban jazz and salsa music starting at 7:30 pm. The Gino Castillo Cuban Jazz Trio formed in 2009 and was the CPMA Jazz Artist of the Year in 2013 and 2014. They are a local band that has played at venues all around the Lowcountry.

Tickets are $8 per person in advance or $10 at the gate if they are available. Tickets can be bought online at CharlestonCountyParks.com. This event is expected to sell out so be sure to get your tickets early. Children 3 and under do not need a ticket.

Food will be available for purchase at the River Watch Café and Gift Shop and beverages can be purchased on-site at the event. No outside food, alcohol, or coolers are permitted. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets as seating is limited.

Parking is extremely limited at this event due to construction in the area. Guests are advised to get to the pier early in order to maximize their parking options.

The Mount Pleasant Pier is located at 71 Harry M. Hallman Jr Blvd.

Additional Dancing on the Cooper events will take place monthly through September.
