Trident United Way’s Young Leaders United Annual School Supply Drive Aims to Provide 2,000 Tri-County Students with Backpacks Full of Supplies

Trident United Way’s Young Leaders United has launched their annual School Supply Drive with a goal of providing over 2,000 backpacks full of supplies to students from low-income families in the Tri-County community.
From June 26th through July 19th, backpacks and school supplies can be purchased through Trident United Way’s virtual supply drive website. All supplies will be purchased in bulk by Trident United Way according to supply lists from local schools. Donors simply go to the supply drive site and select how many students they would like to support.
Items purchased on the site will be delivered directly to a local UPS warehouse facility and will be sorted and packed by Trident United Way volunteers on August 8 and 9. Backpacks and supplies will be distributed to students from low-income families through Trident United Way Resource Connection Centers in Berkeley County and Dorchester County, schools and other community partners.
