Charleston Folk Duo The Letter Show Set to Release “Amber & Gold EP”

Local folk duo The Letter Show (Becca Bessinger and George Stevens) will release new music this Friday for the first time in a decade. Amber & Gold EP will feature four original songs that highlights the duo’s musicianship and vocal harmonies. A release party will take place at Wind & Waves Brewing on Saturday, July 22nd, from 5 pm to 8 pm.

“We’re incredibly proud of this record, especially since we did it all on our own,” said Bessinger. “Every note was written and performed by us. We recorded it, mixed it, designed the cover art. So it’s very much a reflection of our creative vision, and our collaboration.”

First joining forces in 2011, the duo has performed on stages all around the southeast, including stops at MerleFest and FloydFest. In 2013, they released the Brokenhearted Stumblers EP, recorded with Grammy-winning producer Joey Crawford. They maintain a residency at Holy City Brewing, performing the second Saturday of each month with an expanded lineup that includes drummer Patrick Brown and a variety of guests.
