Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series Finale Set for August 4th

Bring your dancing shoes and feel-good vibes to James Island County Park for the final event in this year’s Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series! On Friday, August 4th, Amani Smith and the Give Thanks Band will take the stage beginning at 8 pm.
Based out of Wilmington, NC, Amani Smith and The Give Thanks Band have existed on the reggae music scene for more than 30 years. Smith has toured with many different reggae artists over the years such as Julian Marley and The Itals. The Give Thanks Band features Tony Fisher on bass, Carl Blackmon on keyboard, Debby Flaverny with vocals and Ken Forrest on drums. The band has been featured at many different festivals throughout the Carolinas.
Gates for the event will open at 7:30 p.m., and music will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online for $10 per person in advance at CharlestonCountyParks.com. Tickets are also available day-of at the gate for $15 per person. Children 12 and under as well as Gold Pass holders are free of charge and do not require a ticket.
A variety of vendors will have food and beverages available for purchase, and craft vendors will be on site as well selling homemade crafts, gifts and souvenirs. Alcohol will also be available for purchase with a valid ID.
Those attending are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Dogs are allowed but must always remain leashed. No outside coolers or alcohol are permitted.
The event will take place rain or shine unless severe weather forces cancellation.
