Yappy Hour: Party in the James Island Dog Park Scheduled for August 24th

Dogs and their owners are invited to a special Yappy Hour event in August to wrap up the summer. Charleston County Parks will host this dog-friendly happy hour in the dog park at James Island County Park on Thursday, August 24th.

During Yappy Hour, attendees can enjoy live music from Michael Duff from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, while pups explore the dog park. Beer, wine, Coke products, and Dasani water will be available for purchase.

Yappy Hour is free with park admission ($2 per person or free with the Gold Pass) and no registration is required.

The dog park features separate fenced-in sections for large and small dogs and has a large lake where dogs can swim and play (wildlife is present so pets should be monitored closely). The park also offers a dog washing area, water fountains, benches, and nearby restroom facilities.
