Marsh & Magnolia to Open on King Street This Fall
Marsh & Magnolia, a custom specialty hat shop, announced it will open this fall at 404 King Street in downtown Charleston. Situated at the street level of Hotel Bennett, Marsh & Magnolia will offer a personalized hat-making experience where guests work one-on-one with a skilled hat stylist to create a felt or straw hat that is uniquely their own.
Marsh & Magnolia’s collection of private-label hats features an collection of styles, colors, and specialty drops to coincide with Lowcountry events year-round. The store’s team of stylists will collaborate with guests to guide them through the entire hat design process. Guests will start by selecting a style from an array of women’s, men’s and children’s hats and begin the custom-hand shaping and fitting process. The possibilities for personalization are limitless, with a vast selection of design details available, including hat bands, ribbons, pins, stitching, charms, feathers, and brands.
The space will feature a custom hat bar – with a shaping and fitting station – and a retail area with locally sourced products and accessories. Guests can also expect upbeat music, complimentary local beverages and a fun atmosphere.
Marsh & Magnolia wass founded by three best friends and Charleston locals – Adele Cisco, Erin Engebritson, and Kristin Smoak – who dreamed up the concept after a girls trip where they fell in love with a similar experience.
“We are thrilled to introduce Marsh & Magnolia to Charleston,” said the founders via press release. “Our goal is to create an immersive and memorable hat shopping experience, where individuals can unleash their creativity, have fun and walk away with a hat that truly reflects their style.”
