BCLS Hosting Slam the Scam at Goose Creek Library
Berkeley County Library System (BCLS), in collaboration with Generations for America, is hosting Slam the Scam on Tuesday, August 15th, from 1 pm to 2 pm at the Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Road.
Ingrid Centurion, Founder/President of Generations for America, will conduct the program to educate customers about financial scamming schemes. Slam the Scam will teach customers the warning signs and red flags before getting involved in a financial transaction. You can register for the event at berkeleylibrarysc.libcal.com/event/10968897.
“Bernard Lawrence Madoff was an American financier and was the mastermind of the largest Ponzi scheme in history, worth about 64.8 billion,” Centurion said. “We must learn how to identify these fraudsters. Every day, hundreds of South Carolinians are involved in one of many financial crimes. Learn how to identify these scams and report them immediately to stop them in their tracks.”
