Reggie Burgess Officially Files his Candidacy for North Charleston Mayor
North Charleston mayoral candidate Reggie Burgess today officially filed for his candidacy in North Charleston.
Since announcing his retirement as North Charleston’s Police Chief and subsequent candidacy to become mayor, Burgess has been actively campaigning in his hometown. Burgess opened his campaign offices on July 23rd.
“Words cannot begin to describe how excited I am to be at this point in our Campaign,” he said. “We have been working hard and we knew that the moment filing opened, we wanted to be there. If I could have filed at 6 am this morning, I would have.”
His campaign says that Quarter 2 Economic Disclosures on the SC Ethics Commission website show Burgess leads all candidates in fundraising.
