Bland Richter Responds to Murdaugh Court Filing in Nautilus Lawsuit
The attorneys for the sons of Gloria Satterfield, the longtime housekeeper of the Murdaugh family who died in 2018, on Monday released a statement regarding Alex Murdaugh and his lawyers’ response filed last week in the Nautilus Insurance Company’s Federal Court Action. Murdaugh and his lawyers attempted to name Satterfield’s sons as parties to that action.
The Bland Richter law firm (Eric S. Bland and Ronnie Richter) on Monday released a statement. In that response, M. The statement is below:
“On today’s date, Bland Richter filed their Reply to Alex Murdaugh’s and his lawyers’ continued attempts to try and make the sons of Gloria Satterfield parties to his current litigation in Federal Court by Nautilus Insurance Company in their attempt to get Alex Murdaugh to repay the 3.8 million he stole from the Satterfield sons with the help of others. Last week, Murdaugh and his attorneys Dick Harpootlian and Jim Griffin lost their attempt in state court to invalidate and vacate the Confession of Judgment of 4.3 million dollars that Murdaugh gave to the Satterfield sons in May of 2022. That was a significant victory. A true case of Buyer’s remorse by Team Murdaugh. We look forward to arguing this matter when the motion’s hearing is scheduled and we remain optimistic that this latest attempt by Team Murdaugh will fail.”
