In addtion to tickets, the online CFW model casting applications are open to any person over the age of 15, who is currently a model or aspiring to model.
“We have signed several CFW models over the years who have gone on to walk for global designers such as Coach, Gucci, Balenciaga, Yohji Yamamoto and more,” said Karen Lee Grybowski, owner of KLG model management in New York City. “Others have graced the pages of international fashion magazines as well as worked e-commerce jobs and fitness campaigns. Charleston Fashion Week is and has been one of my favorite events to scout for models!”
Lee, along with top scouts from DirectionsUSA, Elite NYC, IMG, Wilhelmina, and local agency Millie Lewis will be in attendance, looking for the next new face in fashion. Selected models will train under Michelle Wood, CFW model coach and top professional model who has walked in fashion shows in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Sydney, and Tokyo for designers including Armani, Chanel, Donna Karen, Ralph Lauren, and Bill Blass. The deadline to apply online to audition is on Monday, August 14th, 2023. Model hopefuls may also register for an open castings at 10 am on both Friday, August 18th and Saturday, August 19th at the Cambria Hotel (84 Ripley Point) in Charleston.
Plus, the Lexus CFW Hometown Hero search continues for a fourth year. You can nominate Charleston’s finest first responder – including healthcare workers, police or fire personnel – who makes a difference in the community. The online form is now open and closes on September 18th, 2023.
