Truist Names Alex Brame South Carolina Regional President

Truist Financial Corporation (NYSE: TFC) is pleased to announce Alex Brame has been named Regional President, South Carolina, effective October 1st, 2023. Brame currently serves as Truist’s Regional President, Central Pennsylvania, and will replace Michael Brenan, who previously announced his retirement from Truist.
“It’s been such a pleasure serving as Regional President of Central Pennsylvania over these last five years, and I could not be more excited for this new role ahead of me,” said Brame. “Throughout his career, Mike has truly led by example and viewed banking through a client- and community-focused lens, and it will be an honor to follow in his footsteps and serve South Carolina.”
Brame enters this new role with more than 17 years of banking and leadership experience with Truist and will direct client management and business development activities, as well as integrate Truist lines of business in South Carolina to benefit the company’s clients and the communities it serves. Brame previously served as Market President of Lancaster and Lebanon counties in Pa., Market President of the Virginia Peninsula, and as a Relationship Manager in Newport News, Va.

Passionate about community involvement, Alex currently serves as Chair-Elect of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce (Pa.) and Penn State University – Harrisburg Board of Advisers. Previously, Alex served as a member of the Lancaster City (Pa.) Alliance Economic Development Steering Committee and as a board member of United Way of Lancaster County (Pa.), Community Free Clinic of Newport News (Va.), Smart Beginnings of the Virginia Peninsula, and Peninsula Council for Workforce Development.
No stranger to South Carolina, Alex earned his Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association School of Banking at the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. In his free time, Alex enjoys traveling and outdoor activities with his family.
