Celebrate Labor Day at The Charleston Museum and its Historic Houses
The Charleston Museum, founded in 1773 and considered America’s first museum, invites guests to learn more about the natural and cultural history of the South Carolina Lowcountry by visiting its collections and exhibitions this Labor Day.
On Monday, September 4th, the Museum will be open to guests during its normal operating hours from 9 am to 5 pm. The Museum’s Historic Houses (Heyward-Washington House and Joseph Manigault House) will also be open during their normal operating hours from 10 am to 5 pm, with the last guided tour beginning at 4:15 pm at the H.W.H and 4:30 pm at the J.M.H.
