Firefly Distillery to Celebrate Craftsmen and Craft Whiskey During “Share Your Craft” Event
Firefly Distillery is celebrating state-wide distribution of its Bend & Steal American Whiskey by hosting an event on Saturday, September 16th from 12 pm to 4 pm. Highlighting local craftsmen, the “Share Your Craft” event will feature makers from across the state to showcase their talent.
“We crafted Bend & Steal American Whiskey as our tribute to hardworking folks everywhere,” said Scott Newitt, co-founder at Firefly Distillery. “It’s important to us to celebrate the talent throughout the state as we expand the availability of our award-winning whiskey.”
Free to attend, the September 16th event will shine a light on a wide array of local craftsmen from boat builders and woodworkers, to makers of fly-fishing flies, knives, furniture, and more through live demonstrations and dedicated vendor booths.
This new event celebrates the expanded distribution of Bend & Steal throughout the state. Whiskey cocktails will be available for purchase and tasting, while local food trucks and live music will round out the afternoon event on Firefly’s 5-acre field along the Noisette Creek.
Bend & Steal American Whiskey is the most recent spirit to be crafted by the makers at Firefly Distillery. Previously a distillery exclusive product, the whiskey gets its unique name from the process of “stealing” bits from the best barrels in the country and “bending” them with Firefly barrels to create a “perfectly-balanced whiskey.”
Firefly Distillery is located at 4201 Spruill Avenue. For more information about the distillery or upcoming events, visit fireflydistillery.com.
