CCSD Announces Schedule Changes Due to Hurricane Idalia
Due to the forecast for inclement weather this week related to Hurricane Idalia, all Charleston County School District offices and schools are now moving to a half day on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023, and an eLearning/remote work day on Thursday, August 31st, 2023.
School and district buildings will be closed on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Kaleidoscope and all other extracurricular activities and afterschool programs scheduled for Wednesday, August 30th, 2023, and Thursday, August 31st, 2023, are canceled. The Constituent District 3 community meeting for James Island is also canceled. The district will announce once the event is rescheduled.
Subject to change, pending conditions, high school athletics (only) are still being held Thursday, August 31st, 2023, with an arrival time no earlier than 3:30 pm on campuses.
