Domestic Workers to Meet with Rep. Jim Clyburn

Rep. Jim Clyburn will join domestic workers, the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA), and Care in Action for two events on Wednesday, August 30th.
The events will include:
- Care Workers Roundtable in Columbia (10:30 am to 12 pm)
- The focal point of this engagement will revolve around care workers’ rights, including discussions on the Federal Domestic Workers Bill of Rights and equitable home care worker wages.
- Care Town Hall in Charleston (6 pm to 7:30 pm)
- Rep. Clyburn will headline a Care Town Hall in Charleston, focusing on the impactful work carried out by the Biden-Harris administration in collaboration with the Congressman on care-related matters. Topics under discussion will span child care, prescription drug costs, Medicaid, Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), and more. Rep. Clyburn has been a sponsor of the bill in previous introductions.
These events are part of a series of events across the U.S. during August, organized by the National Domestic Workers Alliance and local affiliate organizations, to raise awareness about the Federal Domestic Workers Bill of Rights to be reintroduced in Congress this September.
