South Carolina Aquarium Announces Temporary Closure

The South Carolina Aquarium has announced it will be temporarily closed to the public on Wednesday, August 30th and Thursday, August 31st. Once the possibility of severe weather has passed, the Aquarium anticipates reopening on Friday, September 1st.

The Aquarium’s closure is a response to the expected inclement weather due to Hurricane Idalia. A team of employees that have been designated for emergency operation will remain at the Aquarium to continue animal care throughout the closure.
