CARTA Officials Announce Service Adjustments Related to Tropical Storm Idalia Impacts

In light of current local weather predictions related to Tropical Storm Idalia, CARTA service will conclude early Wednesday evening (details below).
Due to the expected storm impacts, including high winds forecast to begin later this evening, CARTA officials have announced the following service adjustments for Wednesday, August 30, 2023:
Rt. 41- Last bus leaves Mary St. @ 4:30pm; last bus leaves Stuart Engals Blvd. @ 5:15pm, arriving at Mary St. @5:55pm.
Rt. 42- Last bus leaves @ 6:27pm.
Rt. 40- Last bus leaves Mary St. @ 4:30pm; last bus leaves Hungry Neck @ 5:10pm, arriving at Mary St. @5:54pm.
Rt. 30- Will still operate with one vehicle on an hourly schedule.
Rt. 31 and Rt. 33- Will detour using Spring and Cannon streets to avoid using the James Island Connector.
