Charleston County Encourages Residents to Report Damage from Idalia

Charleston County Government and Charleston County Libraries will reopen for normal business hours on Friday, September 1. Any vehicles parked in Charleston County’s downtown parking garages due to the storm need to be removed by 6 pm today.
Charleston County Emergency Management continues to monitor Edisto River levels. According to the National Weather Service, the river could be close to major flood levels on Monday, September 5. Residents who live along the river need to be aware of potential rising waters and be prepared to relocate to higher ground if necessary.

- Charleston County residents can report damage on Charleston County’s online damage page.
Curbside Recycling, the Bees Ferry Landfill and Convenience Centers
- The Bees Ferry Landfill and Charleston County Convenience Centers are closed Thursday, August 31.
- There will be no curbside recycling on Thursday, August 31. If your recycling service day is Thursday, August 31, your service will resume on Thursday, September 14, your next scheduled service day. Any overflow material can be dropped off at one of Charleston County’s many recycling drop sites. For location information, visit recycle.charlestoncounty.org.
