Run For Something Endorses Clay Middleton for Mayor of Charleston
Press Release
Clay Middleton is proud to receive the endorsement of Run for Something (RFS), the groundbreaking organization that recruits and supports strong voices in the next generation of innovative leadership.
Charleston Mayoral candidate Clay Middleton said, “I’m very grateful to have the support of Run for Something. This demonstrates our commitment to keep offering bold and pragmatic solutions to our city’s most pressing problems with an eye towards the future. We share the same values and belief that grassroots organizing and mobilizing on such ideas is what will motivate and inspire Charleston voters to join us in being a new brick in an old foundation. This is how we create a city that works for everyone.”
“We’re ecstatic to share this latest class of young, diverse trailblazers running for down-ballot office,” said RFS co-founder and co-executive director Amanda Litman. “Some of the most important progress is made in these often-overlooked elected positions – I’m inspired by the grit and tenacity of these candidates running to create tangible change in their communities. Our team has their backs as they become the next generation of progressive leaders.”
The RFS endorsement process includes an extensive internal review with background check, staff interview, and insight from local state experts.
