IOP Recreation Department to Host Community Wellness Fair
City of Isle of Palms will host a Community Wellness Fair on October 6th, 2023, from 7 am to 11 am at the Isle of Palms Recreation Center. The event will be set up in the gymnasium and will include:
- Over 25 health and wellness related booths and displays.
- Various wellness consultations and screenings
- Free samples of health-related promotional items
- Isle of Palms Police and Fire Safety Displays
- Food Truck
- Flu vaccinations
- Fitness demonstrations
- and more
East Cooper Medical Center will host FREE Cholesterol Screenings. Pre-registration is not required but recommended. Participants can register online at IOP.NET.
In addition, Delta Pharmacy will provide Flu vaccinations. Participants must provide insurance or a Medicare card. No appointments necessary.
“We have hosted this event year-over-year,” said Karrie Ferrell, Recreation Director. “It has developed into a community social that is fun and informative! Plus, there are lots of free health and wellness-related take aways.”
Admission is free and open to residents and visitors.
