Fam’s Brewing Co. Shares Hoptoberfest Party Details

Fam’s Brewing Co. announced the return of Hoptoberfest, an Oktoberfest Opening Day Party, that will take place on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, from 12 pm to 7 pm at 1291 Folly Road on James Island.

Hoptoberfest has become a tradition that officially kicks off the Oktoberfest season in Charleston. This year’s celebration includes a day filled with German Beer, Live Music, Games, Lederhosen, and more.

Event Highlights:

• • Firkin Tapping
    • The festivities will commence at 12:00 pm with a traditional Firkin Tapping, with samples available for all attendees that arrive early to savor
  • Live Polka Band
    • From 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, members of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra will be performing lively Polka tunes to keep the energy high and the dance floor moving (This is not a Charleston Symphony Orchestra event)
  • Games
    • Starting around 1:30 pm, a variety of entertaining games will be in full swing, including the German Spelling Bee, Stein Hoist Competition, Polka Musical Chairs, Costume Contest, Blindfolded Pretzel Toss, and Beer Puppet Challenge
  • Limited Edition Steins
    • Guests can savor the specially crafted Oktoberfest beer, served in limited edition custom steins. There are only 50 one-liter steins and 150 half-liter steins available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so beer enthusiasts are encouraged to arrive early
  • Free Admission
    • Hoptoberfest is open everyone, and admission is free.
