Holy City Arts & Lyric Opera (HALO), Charleston’s premier performing arts organization, has officially announced their 2023-24 season.

Running this September through next May, HALO will be presenting audiences with two full scale productions in addition to a wide variety of innovative and diverse concerts and events all season long. The season will kick off with “Choose Your Own Operadventure” on September 30th, an interactive operatic experience and established audience favorite. Those interested in attending can now purchase tickets online here.

The full season schedule can be found online as well as below:

  • Choose Your Own Operadventure

    • When:

      • September 30, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

        • Where: Circular Congregational Church, Charleston

    • About: This interactive operatic experience includes performances of familiar arias, duets and ensembles from beloved shows, and the audience votes on how the story unfolds! All these decisions will be up to the fates (and the audience) during this special concert. The plot of the evening’s performance is in YOUR hands.

    • About: HALO’s first large-scale production of the 2023-2024 season, Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto, will be presented on November 1, 3 & 5, 2023 at Festival Hall. It stars Paul La Rosa in the title role, Goose Creek native Ashley Fabian as the ill-fated daughter, Gilda, and Chaz Williams-Ali as the rakish Duke. Directed by Cara Consilvio, this production delves into the depths of human cruelty, betrayal, and the tragic consequences of unchecked power.
