BCLS Co-Hosting “Sleepers in September” with Newborns In Need Organization

Published

on

Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) will co-host Sleepers in September throughout September and October with the Charleston SC Chapter of Newborns In Need organization. Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Road, Goose Creek, will be a drop-off location for the very-gently used, new baby sleepers, and sleep sacks (sizes newborn to 18 months).

“The Charleston SC Chapter of Newborns In Need is part of a national, non-denominational501(c)(3)charity whose mission is to provide basic needs for those babies in crisis or in poverty,” said Jan Thompson, Volunteer for Newborns in Need. “The national organization has been in existence since 1992, and our chapter since 2001.  The volunteers sew, knit, and crochet blankets, diaper bags, and other baby clothing for the little ones, and all items are donated locally free of charge by our volunteers to those in need.”
