Deon Tedder Gives Update On Gadsden Green Public Housing Conditions

Deon Tedder, candidate for Senate District 42 in Charleston, issued an update on repairs at Gadsden Green Homes, a Charleston Housing Authority property:

“I am pleased to report that the Charleston Housing Authority is taking the reports of unsafe and unacceptable living conditions at Gadsden Green Homes seriously and is taking quick action to address them. I have met with Director Milligan again this week and confirmed that as of earlier this week his team has already started walkthroughs in each unit to notate what repairs need to be done. As of today, repairs have started on 30-35% of units, grounds are in better condition and trash has been picked up. Director Milligan has said that he and his team will continue working through the repairs until each unit is fully repaired.

I am grateful to Director Milligan and his team for their quick response to this issue. I will continue to monitor the situation and check in with Director Milligan to ensure that the repairs are completed in a timely manner.”
