Annual Fall Festival at Brookgreen Gardens Returns in October

Brookgreen Gardens invites visitors to kick off the season with their annual fall festival, Harvest Home Weekend, on October 7th and 8th. Guests can expect an array of fall activities held in the botanical gardens, including a hay maze, pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting, and a scarecrow making contest.

The scarecrow making contest at Harvest Home Weekend is a beloved tradition of many local families. Prepared scarecrow making kits will be available, or families may opt to bring clothing from home. For $5, guests can bring home their masterpiece to use as fall décor. In addition to fall activities, Harvest Home Weekend will also have numerous food vendors as well as talented entertainers, including Alabama Theater favorite Greg Rowles.

• When: Oct. 7 – 8, 2023, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
• Where: Brookgreen Gardens; 1931 Brookgreen Drive, Murrells Inlet
• Details: Guests may explore the entirety of Brookgreen’s grounds as access to the festival is included in general admission. The pumpkin painting and scarecrow building activities are separate fees.
