King Street Rooftop Terrace Satellite Bar Partners with Local Nonprofit Pay it Forward Charleston

Newly-opened rooftop spot Satellite Bar announced its partnership with local nonprofit Pay it Forward Charleston just days after hosting a grand opening celebration on King Street. 

With a mission to provide emergency assistance in the form of grants to local food and beverage community members, Pay it Forward began during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since grown to partner with several local organizations – including Satellite Bar.

As part of the space’s rebranding initiatives, Satellite Bar hosts live music on the rooftop on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring local artist Phillip Blackstone on Saturdays from 2 pm to 6 pm and John Paris on Sundays from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Guests that attend Satellite Bar’s Sunday concert series during the month of September will have the option to purchase the original Pressure Drop cocktail made with lavender-infused vodka and blueberry lemonade, with 100% of proceeds donated to Pay it Forward Charleston.

 “I couldn’t be more excited about this partnership,” said Heather Greene, Director of Operations of Stars and Satellite Bar and Partner at Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar and Rudy Royale. “Pay it Forward’s mission resonated with me from the beginning and I am ecstatic to play a part in supporting their work in our community.”
