The Charleston Climate Coalition will host “Farm-to-Planet: Sustainable Supper & Soirée” on Thursday, October 5th at Society Hall. During the event, Chefs Nikko Cagalanan of Kultura Restaurant, Louise Rakers of Nordic Cooking, and Devon Harrelson will be serving a locally sourced, climate-friendly five-course dinner.

“Food systems are such an important part of solving the climate crisis, so serving a climate-friendly meal for our fall fundraiser just made sense,” said Belvin Olasov, Co-director, Charleston Climate Coalition. “We hope our guests enjoy the meal, the company, and the music, and end up learning a bit about how what we eat is connected to the climate crisis.”

The dinner will be a vegan blend of Nikko Cagalanan’s Filipino dishes and Louise Rakers’s Nordic cuisine and will be sourced from local organic farm Spade & Clover. Dinner will be accompanied by live music from singer-songwriter Eliza Novella and band Post-Life Crisis, an open bar, and an introduction to the world of Lowcountry climate action from the Charleston Climate Coalition.
