BCLS Co-Hosting Lawn & Garden Hacks: Which Fruits to Plant and Not Plant
Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) will co-host Lawn & Garden Hacks: Which Fruits to Plant and Not Plant with Christopher Burtt, Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent, for Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties, on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 from 1 pm to 2 pm. The event will take place at Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Rd., Goose Creek. Please register at berkeleylibrarysc.libcal.com/event/10864230.
Burtt, who is a Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent, will discuss which fruits to choose and avoid. He has worked with Clemson University for over five years with previous experience in nursery and landscaping. He coordinates the Tri-County Master Gardener program and assists homeowners and nurseries with technical support.
“Fresh fruit is an absolute joy and can be especially wonderful when it comes from our own garden,” Burtt said. “Here we will discuss the fruit trees and shrubs that one can grow here in our own landscape as well as the ones that one may want to avoid.”
