Renowned conductor Dr. Robert Taylor will lead the performance, taking you on a musical journey through the ages. Additionally, the concert will feature a stunning rendition of the Magnificat composed by former College of Charleston professor Dr. Trevor Weston, along with two captivating movements from the Westminster Mass by English composer extraordinaire Roxanna Panufnik, and the beloved “O Magnum Mysterium” by Renaissance master Tomás Luis de Victoria.
Director Robert Taylor expressed his excitement, saying, “I am awe-struck to be directing this repertoire. Conducting this magnificent music in collaboration between the Taylor Festival Choir and the Ensemble of St. Clare, led by my dear friend Ellen Moryl, is one of the most profound honors of my career. Mepkin Abbey and Circular Church, both deeply spiritual venues with exceptional acoustics, promise an unforgettable concert. This is truly a pinnacle moment in my career!”
