Holy City Brewing and Lewis Barbecue Announces Inaugural MashFest
The teams behind two popular Lowcountry establishments, Holy City Brewing and Lewis Barbecue, are partnering to host the first annual MashFest, a daylong event featuring beer, barbecue, bourbon, and live music from The Letter Show, on Sunday, November 5th, from 1 pm to 6 pm. The event will be held at The Porter Room at Holy City Brewing, 1021 Aragon Ave. in North Charleston.
On the beverage side, Holy City will feature a special release barrel aged beer alongside beer flights, specialty beer cocktails, and limited-edition seasonal beers. Firefly Distillery is providing a private barrel of their finest bourbon, which will be offered as a signature cocktail pour in addition to a tasting flight.
In addition to a tasting menu from Lewis Barbecue, Prophet Coffee Truck will be on site and Kevin Joseph of Raw Lab and Empire Oyster will be offering oysters and raw bar items available for purchase from his Shuck Truck.
A cigar roller from Cigar Row Events will also be on hand to roll and sell custom cigars infused with single barrel bourbon. Local art plays a role in the form of art and sculpture installations from artists Sean Williams and Mary Martin.
An exclusive VIP bourbon “Pappy Hour” ticket will be available, where guests will get early access to the event and a guided tasting of rare and highly allocated bourbons. Additional tasting guided whiskey and beer flights will be available for add on purchase with limited quantity and times available.
Tickets will be available online and at the event. General admission tickets are $65 and include access to all food and two drink tickets. Additional beverages will be available for purchase. VIP Bourbon “Pappy Hour” tickets are available for an $140 and include access to the main event. Tickets may be purchased at http://www.mash-fest.com.
