Lowcountry Oyster Company Hires Eco-Tour Director; Expands Tour Program to Five Days a Week
Lowcountry Oyster Company announced it has named JB Borgstedt (above) as Tour Director for its expanding eco-tourism program.
Borgstedt has vast experience in the maritime industry world-wide, from working as a diver on a pearl farm in Northwest Australia, to commercial diving and fishing throughout the Caribbean and Mid-Atlantic, to working on tug boats on beach renourishment projects up and down the coastline of the Southeastern US.
Due to increased demand, the tour program has expanded to five days per week, Monday through Friday, with two time slots per day: 10 am and 1 pm. Each tour can hold up to ten people with plans to expand capacity to 30 people per tour early 2024.
“JB not only has the drive to make our tour program the best it can be, he also has the passion for eco-tourism and our environment,” said Trey McMillan, Founder of Lowcountry Oyster Company. “We look forward to watching our tours grow and continue welcoming folks from all over the country.”
