Rip City CHS Closes Out Blockbuster Year with a Bang!

After a truly banner year of doing comedy shows on boats and at the movies, hosting secret clown shows, and national touring comedians, as well as filling up breweries and photo studios all over town, Rip City CHS closes out the year with a bang. Starting with October 21st at Lofi Brewing. The shows at Lofi always have a fun and vibey rock club feel to them. Since the space is conducive to music, our Lofi shows always feature a local music act to give the show that extra flavor. For October, Rip City is bringing in underground rock band Public Luxuries as well as a bunch of other fun surprises.

November 18th, Rip City returns to Silver Hill Studio, a photo studio and production office to a slew of Charleston’s juggernaut creatives. The space always has a very cinematic feel and the high quality studio lighting makes for extremely unique experiences. Always something wild when Rip City is at Silver Hill.

Finally for December, Rip City is presenting a pretty ambitious undertaking, part rock show – part comedy show – all party! That’s right, your favorite monthly experimental comedy show is taking over Music Farm on December 15th to bring you: Rip City’s Holiday Showtacular. It’s a night of holiday this and that featuring some amazing local bands doing classic holiday songs or perhaps some holiday originals. The music will include performances by: 2 Slices, Babe Club, She Returns From War, Brave Baby, Sxvxnt, and perhaps some special surprise guests.

In between the music, Rip City performers will bring their unique style of unhinged frivolities with your hosts Nameless Numberhead at the helm. It’s basically the office holiday party for Charleston’s stage rats. So come all ye! Sit on the knee of our non-denominational Present Person! Rog out with your nog out as we guzzle solstice milk all evening. It’s part concert, part comedy show, all party!
