The Refinery to Raise Funds for ALS Through the Live Like Tom Concert on November 4th
The Refinery will host the inaugural Live Like Tom Benefit Concert for ALS on Saturday, November 4th at 6 pm. Inspired by Tom Hodges, a friend of The Refinery who was diagnosed with ALS, the night will include performances by local musicians Jah Creation featuring Gullah Roots and Junco Partner.
To further support the cause, concertgoers are encouraged to start the day with The Walk to Defeat ALS at 11 am at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park.
“Tom is one of my dearest friends and an amazing person, husband, and father,” said Lindsay Nevin, CEO of The Flyway Companies and The Refinery. “He continues to be an inspiration to anyone he comes in contact with, hence the name ‘Live Like Tom.’ The Refinery is proud to help bring additional attention and support to ALS and the families affected by this disease.”
They event has an incredible opportunity to match up to $500,000 by a generous anonymous donor. All proceeds from the Live Like Tom Benefit Concert will be donated to Project Main Street, The ALS Association and the Hodges family. Sponsorship opportunities are available until October 31st (details on each level HERE; contact rphillips@levelaccounting.com to become a sponsor). All ticket sales, auction proceeds, and donations will go towards the $500,000 match.
